🪐 Buzz, Birthdays & Baked Comfort: A Cozy Week in the Nest

Hey there,

Charlie turned two this week—and we gave in to the Buzz Lightyear obsession. He’s been carrying Woody everywhere for months, often asking, ā€œWhere is Buzz?ā€ So for his birthday morning, we tied a brand-new Buzz to some balloons and left him waiting in the living room like a tiny Toy Story surprise.

He ran over, thrilled… until he immediately said, ā€œWhere are his wings?ā€ and then, ā€œThis isn’t working!ā€ We didn’t buy the electronic Buzz—the one with the sounds and the pop-out wings—and he noticed instantly.

But by lunchtime? He was completely in love. Woody was tossed aside (sorry, cowboy), and Buzz became the main character of Charlie’s entire day. It honestly felt like watching the movie play out in real life.

So this week, I’m leaning into those cozy, grateful vibes with two new recipes I’m excited to try: a Creamy Chicken and Rice Casserole that looks like the perfect warm hug on a chilly night, and our Snack of the Week—Peanut Butter Banana Oat Bars, an easy, toddler-friendly bite that seems perfect for afternoons at home.
